There will be a Community Family Fun Picnic on Saturday, July 28th, at Kopje Regional Park (15480 Carr’s Landing Road) from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. This event has been organized by the Carr’s Landing Community & Recreation Association and it features games, races, and prizes, as well as crafts, balloon animals, face painting, clowns, an inflatable bounce house and, of course, hot dogs and snacks! This event promises to be loads of fun for the entire family.
In conjunction with this community picnic the Lake Country Open Air Performance Society will also be presenting their weekly community musical event so bring your picnic dinner and your chairs or blankets and stay to enjoy the evening’s performances.
From 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. 2Step Closer (Harmonic Duo) will be on stage. Jane Eamon (Folk singer and songwriter) performs from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m., and from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. you’ll hear Sista B & The Boyz (Rhythm & Blues, Soul and Funk).
