  • The Lake Country Museum has published an extensive genealogy of the Goldie family, especially regarding its immigration from Alloway, Scotland to its establishment in Ayr, Ontario. Those interested in pioneer life and building a successful farming and milling operation should examine this manuscript.

  • The Museum’s current display, Lake Country Sweethearts, in the lobby of the District of Lake Country Municipal offices, is a tribute to Anne and Sid Land who were certainly a pair of Lake Country Sweethearts.

    • 2018 is the 125th anniversary of Miriam Masonic Lodge #20 in Vernon and we have been researching our history. I discovered Sidney Land was the master of our Lodge in 1952. He was also the District Deputy Grand Master in the sixties
